An exhibition of works by British artist and sculptor Henry Moore opened at the State Arts Museum of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition entitled “Henry Moore: master of graphics” was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the British Council in collaboration with the Arts Academy of Uzbekistan. It incorporates eighty graphic works by the British artist.
The Chairman of the Arts Academy Akmal Nuriddinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in our country George Edgar, Director of the British Council in Uzbekistan Mark Crossey and others noted that multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UK is consistently evolving, including in the sphere of culture and art.
Henry Moore is one of the most eminent British painters and sculptors of the XX century. His works are characterized by vitality, modernity and at the same time by closeness to nature. Creative works of the artist highlights the images of mother and child, women, and he often used the layout of internal and external forms in his works.
